SAE - Society of Automotive Engineers
Website of the Society of Automotive Engineers, providing information on SAE publications including technical papers and standards, relevant conferences and events, industry news, and information about the Society itself.
Society of British Aerospace Companies
Website of the UK's national trade association for companies involved in civil and military aerospace. The website has information on technical and industrial issues, technical standards and sustainable aviation. Access to some parts of the website may require free registration.

incidents. Has an accident database from 1950 - present and a photographic gallery.
Aviation Today provides access to a range of market intelligence and business resources. It provides links to PBI Media's Aviation Group's publications, which includes a search facility for back issues. Special and government reports and aircraft values are also available. This resource provides information regarding safety and security and links to other aircraft industry web sites.
DOAJ Directory of Open Access Journals
A directory of quality controlled open access journals in all scholarly and scientific subject areas. Contains over 2500 titles. These journals do not impose an embargo period but some may require free online registration.
European Aviation Safety Agency
In September 2003 a single central body, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), was formed to undertake the regulatory role, including airworthiness. The website provides access to general and technical publications, including the Annual Safety Review, EHEST documents and Continuing Airworthiness Requirements, as well as access to their studies and research activities reports.
A free journal tables of contents service, covering over 14,000 scholarly journals from around 500 publishers, and almost any subject area. NB: You will need to register in order to save your selected journals.
The NASA web site provides news and information about the US government agency, news and events, and its missions. It also offers a multimedia gallery, containing images and video features.
National Academies Press

UK Defence Standardization
The DStan organisation develops and communicates UK MOD standardization policies, defence standards, procedures and guidance on standardization issues. Copies of electronic and hard copy versions of all extant UK Defence Standards are available from DStan. *Some may be charged for. Free access to 47,000+ Military, DoD, Federal, NASA, DOE, and Government specifications, standards, and handbooks.
Full text US patents and published applications. Patents from 1790 to 1975 are searchable only by Patent Number and Current US Classification. From 1976 they are searchable by all fields.
